OK Go will headline this year's 1980s themed, year-end FlashFest on April 24.
The event, which is sponsored by the All Campus Programming Board, will take place in Risman Plaza and the fields in front of the Centennial residence halls.
OK Go will take to the stage at 8 p.m. FlashFest festivities will begin at noon. ACPB is currently negotiating with other potential headlining bands, but will not know for several more days if those bands will perform, said Doug Hite, ACPB concert chair. Several local bands will also perform throughout the day.
FlashFest will feature tables from on- and off-campus organizations as well as contests including a Guitar Hero tournament and prize giveaways. This is the last major event sponsored by ACPB, as next year's Undergraduate Student Government Programming Board will assume much of its work.
"I hope students come and enjoy it," ACPB president Colleen Burch said. "Especially with what is happening with ACPB next year, we're not sure if FlashFest will be around next year. So its definitely bittersweet."

Picking OK Go for FlashFest this year is definitely a great choice! Thanks Doug Hite and Colleen Burch, as well as anyone else who works for ACPB and is making this happen!

If the theme is 80's wouldn't you think to get 80's bands!!!! I feel like this is going to be about as successful as ACPB'S brainchild Guster Concert Satisfying a mere 400 studnts. (Continued…)

I like how the President Says " I hope students come and enjoy it." If you get a real band that you actually surveyed the students about, things like "Hoping" don't have to be taken into account. (Continued…)

Isn't the point of Flashfest to bring good bands who students actually want to see. I find Ok Go as the headliner a complete slap in the face compared to last years fest. (Continued…)

LOL @ NotSoFlashFest for saying Bob Saget was a good show.
Seriously, you can't please everyone and ACPB also needs to stop sending someone to the Stater comment boards immediately to fellate them and seem like somebody's on their side. (Continued…)

OK GO Is absolutely a horrible call. I would rather listen to the chipmunks christmass album then go to that concert. Will be sitting in my dorm room on April 24 pissed a decent band isnt playing outside
