Kent ice hockey preparing for Nationals

Kent State's ice hockey team will travel to New York this weekend to compete in the American Collegiate Hockey Association Men's Division 1 National Tournament at the ESL Sports Centre in Rochester, N.Y.

The top 16 teams nationally will play in the tournament. The Flashes are ranked 11th, and this is their second consecutive appearance and fifth overall in the tournament.

Kent State (22-15) will start play Saturday against sixth-ranked Liberty University (24-9) at 1:30 p.m.

If the Flashes win, they play again Sunday. If the Flashes lose, they will play a consolation game Sunday.

All 19 tournament games will be broadcast live through Live Sports Video at: http://www.livesportsvideo.com/hockey/acha/div1nationals08.
