Flashes fall on the road to Bowling Green
Issue date: 2/29/08 Section: Sports
The No. 23 Kent State men's basketball team lost to Bowling Green 89-83 this afternoon at Anderson Arena in Bowling Green.
The Flashes (23-6, 11-3 Mid-American Conference) dropped their first game ever as a ranked team primarily because of Bowling Green's hot outside shooting. The Falcons (13-14, 7-7) made 11-of-21 3-pointers.
Senior forward Mike Scott scored a career-high 23 points to lead the Flashes. Junior guard Al Fisher had 20 points and sophomore guard Chris Singletary added 16.
The Flashes will play Miami on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the M.A.C. Center.

Amazing that a 54 point 2nd half could still lead to a loss. I was so proud they went on the road to CA and beat St. Marys...with a midnight EST tip-off no less, then choke on the road (once again!) to a lousy team. (Continued…)

What to take the steam out of this train... You better come out firing against Miami, or there won't be any tournament bids (ala Akron)
