Pan-African studies professors to discuss voting, Obama

A panel of professors in the department of Pan-African studies will discuss issues facing the black community tonight.

Some topics will include voting, disenfranchisement and Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama. Panelists will also take questions from attendees at the end of the discussion.

LaDon Neal, Black United Students public relations chair, said the discussions will be in-depth and uncensored.

Panelists will include the following faculty members from the department of Pan-African studies: Francis Dorsey, Mwatabu Okantah, Timothy Moore, Chris McVay and George Garrison.

BUS is sponsoring the panel, and it will begin at 8:15 p.m. in Room 133 of Bowman Hall.
