The Kent State men's basketball team lit it up from outside in a 82-67 victory over Northern Illinois this afternoon at the M.A.C. Center.

The Flashes (19-5, 8-2 Mid-American Conference) shot 15-of-24 on 3-pointers against the Huskies. That included an 11-of-14 performance in the first half, as the Flashes took a 48-25 lead.

Junior guard Al Fisher and sophomore guard Rodriquez Sherman led the team with 16 points each and shot a combined 8-of-10 from behind the arc. Senior forward Mike Scott (13 points), sophomore guard Chris Singletary (11) and junior forward Rashad Woods (10) also scored in double figures.

The Flashes, a victory away from their 10th consecutive season of 20-plus wins, next play at Central Michigan on Tuesday night.
