Students face challenges of balancing work and school

Working students face tight time schedules daily

About 5,000 students work at 7,000 on-campus jobs at Kent State every year, according to Career Services. But Ami Haynes Hollis, associate director of Career Services, wrote in an e-mail that the high amount of students juggling jobs and college is not a new trend: The number has stayed consistent during the past decade. Kevin Klose, president emeritus of National Public Radio and current president of the NPR Foundation, will visit Kent State today. Having previously visited the campus in March 2004, Klose is returning to take a tour of the newly remodeled Franklin Hall from 2 to 4 p. (0) comments
