Six years and two interim deans later, the College of Arts and Sciences finally has its new leader: Timothy Moerland. Before coming to Kent State in May, he studied muscle physiology at Florida Sate University for 20 years in the biology department. The Kent State Library staff will recreate the Main Library Building from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. using non-perishable food cans, as part of Tuesday's United Way sponsered "CANstruction Competition." The grounds crew kept busy over the summer, making both hardscape and landscape improvements as well as environmental enhancements, amounting to a budget of $300,000 to brighten campus and keep maintenance to efficient levels, according to the Office of the University Architect's Current Projects Web site.
