As I sit here writing my first column as editor, I'm trying to find one word to describe my vision for this semester's Daily Kent Stater. I could throw around journalism jargon like convergence or multimedia. Or, like past editors, tell you how I want the Stater to be your newspaper. (2) comments
I know a girl who turned my entire sense of what being American means on its head with just one word: heritage. I didn't get to know this girl well when we first met; she was cast to play a role at a theater where I volunteered, and I never got a strong sense of who she was. (3) comments
August is finally here, and I'm back at Kent State. I was so excited to come back; being away from home is an ultimate bonus when at college. I know many new students are going to take full advantage of being away from their parents, but the newfound freedom needs to be censored a little. (1) comment
