A Delta Upsilon fraternity member was arrested this afternoon for involvement in a tow truck running a man over on Halloween weekend. According to the Kent Police Department, Nicholas Zajac, 20, of 202 S.Lincoln St., was arrested and charged with felonious assault after Dana Lim sustained serious injuries outside the Delta Upsilon fraternity house. Celebrating a decade's worth of assistance

The mood was one of celebration as students, professors, administrators and even children milled around the Women's Resource Center last night in celebration of the center's 10th anniversary. Jazz music played in the background as visitors enjoyed free food and drinks, socializing with one another and discussing the center's presence on campus throughout the past decade. (0) comments

Last night Nick Hosmer, pastoral associate for Campus Ministry at the Newman Center, asked a room of Catholic students to raise their hand if they believed the act of sex is the sinful part about sex. No one raised their hand. The Catholic Student Association hosted a discussion about Catholicism and sexuality last night. (0) comments

Nursing students who wish to go abroad but cannot participate in a typical study abroad semester have the opportunity to visit Northern Ireland for the three-week summer intercession. The exchange program, established by College of Nursing professor Ruth Ludwick, allows students to attend a week of class, a week of clinicals and a final week of classes, she said. (0) comments

Weaver, sophomore nursing major, said it was the worst pick-up line she had ever received. Because of the "ridiculous" attendance at PRIDE!Kent's Coming Out Week activities, PRIDE!Kent President Amanda Boyd asked the group's members what programs they would like to see during PRIDE! Week next semester. "I don't want to waste the university's money on things people aren't going to come to," Boyd told a group of about 25 students and community members. (0) comments

Sunday's Plain Dealer featured an article about Ohio becoming a leader in the fuel cell industry, but asssistant professor Yuriy Tolmachev warned to proceed with caution.
