The Summer Kent Stater reported in the June 18 issue that President Lester Lefton anticipates a university budget deficit of $4 million for the 2008 fiscal year and a $2.5 million deficit for 2009.

He has since said he was mistaken, and the projected deficit for 2008 is $4.7 million and $3.2 for 2009.

The 2008 fiscal year ended June 30, but official figures will not be available until later in the summer, according to the budget office.
