Student forum event canceled

The Unfulfilled Promises of Brown v. Board event scheduled for last night was canceled due to an illness in the speaker's family.

Shanelle Smith, president of the Kent State NAACP, said the speaker planned to cover racial and economic issues in Ohio's public schools, specifically in Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Toledo. The event is rescheduled for March 15 at 7 p.m. and will also discuss reasons why the issues occur and ways to fix them.
