I completly agree with words of Bob Fisch "It's definitely exciting to see the candidates come out and hear what they have to say."

Even though I disagree with Obama and his policies, I am hoping that he 'succeeds' in all his endevours. If he fails, then America will be in a worse state than ever, and if he produces, then America will be for the better, for it.

For eight years, Americans demonized George W. Bush, but, after 9/11 he kept us safe from attacks on our soil again. I pray that this President does the same thing.

It wasnt President Bush's policies that brought down the banking industry, it was Clinton's misguided policies that told Freddie Mac and Fanny Mae to start issueing unsecured loans to those who couldnt afford them, and people all down through the time of that, until now, tried to countermand that action, but, Congress wouldnt hear it because they were getting too many donations from each of them. Well, we as Americans have suffered, and the World almost collapsed around us, due to a Clinton failed policy. Lets hope that another Democrat will alter the course of history and make us the strong Country we are meant to be.

May the LORD Bless each of you.

I wish you well...

Jesse,

I'm glad to see you aren't a "Rush Limbaugh" follower! That guy is a mouthtank and has nothing substantive really to say that will help the conservative cause. I don't understand the "followers" of Rush.

As for blaming Clinton for the economic disaster, well, I have to wonder why someone who was unemployed in 2004 could walk into Huntington National Bank and get an 11,000 personal loan on a home that was already signed up for all of it's equity. I believe that the economic recovery after 9/11 was first and foremost in the Republican, Federal Reserve and Treasury mind and the policies were pushed just as hard during Bush years as they were in Clinton's years. They had a chance to change things but it was more important to keep the GDP up than anything else. There were people warning Bush Administration and Congress about the financial system because I listened to these people and thought they had really good points but others thought they were just "crazy" because things were "lifted up" so well and how could that be wrong and bad. For as long as the Federal Reserve has no accountability, we are in danger. Personally, I believe the free market capitalism is going to win out in the end and another larger domino effect will take place a little later when all the debt we owe to China and other foreign countries comes home to roost and our dollar crashes under the inflation of printing all this money. I really would love to know what China will do when we can't afford to pay our debt to them?

The ideas that Obama has for improving infrastructure, energy, schools, etc are basically good to me...but at what cost? Ohio is receiving 8 billion in the stimulus money which is expected to create 133,000 Ohio jobs. Do you know that equals 60.1 million dollars spent in Ohio for ONE job created? Does anybody else see the inefficiency and craziness of that type of bureaucratic fiscal bullshit?

I'll be honest, I looked at all the candidates. I wanted "change" also. Ron Paul, to me, was the ONLY candidate that had some real changes to propose and if he had succeeded in just a few changes, our free market capitalism system would still be in place instead of socialism. On an economic level, both McCain and Obama went running to Washington to sign the bank bailout touted by Bush which was the biggest mistake ever made. So, my election vote could not be based on economy because Ron Paul was out and the only 2 realistic candidates was Obama and McCain and they both were pro-socialism when it came down to it.

I voted for Obama, not because of his economic policies but because I saw McCain(who I have ALOT of RESPECT for, he is a great man) as another failed WORLD DIPLOMAT and I felt my vote was toward better foreign relations and policies because this affected a large population of people who would die in more wars under McCain. I saw McCain starting a war with Iran and Syria and I saw Obama willing to talk to our "enemies". It's psychology 101 to me that oppression and the inability to effectively communicate with those you disagree with causes more harm than good. To me, my respect for LIFE and others caused me to vote the way I did. I know, I know, that Obama's "abortion" policies flies in the face of that respect for LIFE thing. But, I don't honestly think that McCain would have any better results on this issue. I believe it's going to take a Supreme Court ruling about a fetus's "viability" and the loss of rights the fetus has for LIFE to really get anywhere substantial with this issue. Believe me, I agonized over my vote this last election!!!

No president can be good at everything. It's just not humanly possible. We all make mistakes and have strengths and weaknesses. So, my "standards" for thinking I made the right vote will be whether he is capable of achieving peace in the Middle East and achieving the end to earmarks, which I see as a criminalized Congressional system that bribes our representatives to vote or not vote for a bill and is detrimental to the health and welfare of our country. As far as I'm concerned he needs to join ranks with McCain on the earmark issue. I thought he was going to do that but his "guidelines" only gave "rules" rather than abolishing the criminal practice of vote bribery altogether. I also really like his websites that encourage transparency and "better connection" to the average Joe.

As for Bush's "success" after 9/11; well, historically, the M.O. of Al Qaeda has been every 8 years on the first year of the first term of the last two Presidents (Clinton WTC bombing 1993 and Bush 9/11/2001) For me, the REAL test will be if we make it through Obama's first year of his first term without an attack on our soil by Al Qaeda because this is the 8th year since the last attack!!! Call me paranoid, but, I really think there is something that will happen this year and we will find out after investigations of the pending attack that it was planned long ago and we will see that our "security" is really not very secure!!

Sorry for "rambling" on.

May the Lord Bless you as well!
