I have a friend who has been working at the Help Desk for 11 years. She applied for a different position within Kent State, interviewed, and was passed over for another employee who has only been working there for 2 months. If this is how Kent State treats it's long term employees, throwing out experience to save a few bucks, then I think it really says what a sad state the university really is in. Last time I checked they were there to enrich, educate, and assist students to create a brighter future for us all. It would seem that saving money has become more important!!!

Carefull now...you don't want to be labeled a 'malcontent' just because you dared observe that 'the emperor's not wearing any clothes', eh? I hear many businesses also out-source their hr departments now-adays...just to save money, don't ya know.

I wonder if the new help-desk service providers will be speaking the Queen's English?
