Abstract:
Despite a mechanical problem that left one bus immobile 15 miles from Kent, all 140 volunteers who took part in United for Biloxi safely returned from the Gulf Coast Saturday afternoon.
Students, staff and faculty had spent spring break in Biloxi helping to rebuild lives and property damaged by Hurricane Katrina....

One day a friend and I decided to head to the local Speedway for lunch, and the chef at the diner place inside was teasing me for a bit. I told him he couldn't mess with me, since I was from Ohio and us northerners "didn't get it." :) He asked why I came down, so I told him about KSU United for Biloxi. Another customer overheard me, and asked me about it also. After a bit, he asked what I had ordered and also what my friend had ordered. I thought he wanted to order the same thing, so I told him. Later, when I went up to the register to pay, the cashier told me that that man had paid for both me and my friend's lunches!
Little miracles make a world of difference.
