I'd like to hear more about the protests, please.
That the Guard and the Military have to resort to these spectacle events to attract folk to their organizations isn't news; perverts offering candy have been seducing children throughout human history, and after all, how many folk would sign up for military service if the event showed the corpses, the body bags, the maimed and mutilated, and the billions of dollars of resources and material blown up, burned, and dumped in the desert?
When students educate and organize themselves to protest these events, _that_ is news worth reading.

For being such a large "liberal" university, there was not an impressive number of students out to protest/have their say. I commend the relatively few out there and would have joined them if it were not for work responsibilities. Even if you don't agree with someone protesting something you believe in, you can afford them some respect for being passionate about something other than Facebook.
