KSU athletic department looks for ways to cut back

The current state of the economy has forced changes upon the Kent State sports' programs. Athletic Director Laing Kennedy and the rest of the university's athletic department is in charge of finding creative ways to cut back costs without affecting the success of the programs or the athletes' performances....

Yeah, Laing, but are you gonna "impact" the 3-4 million dollar subsidy provided by the University in 2008???

Does this mean that the artwork which fell down off the Summit Road side of the Scoreboard (just before last Christmas) isn't going to be repaired? If not, someone should remove the remaining shreds... It would look better.

Aw...don't let the 'garbage-in-garbage-out' feature of the Stater cause you any consternation, li'l-worker-buddy! Better to research the costs of the astro-turf of Dix Stadium, eh? Do you want to know why the Paint Shop at Campus Environment & Operations has to continuously re-paint the K.S.U. logo on said field? Just ask.

Or, Laing...was it 10-13 million dollars worth of subsidy in 2008? Sorry, but given my other interests, I sometimes find it hard to distinguish between the money-pits called athletic departments of K.S.U. & the U. of A., eh?
