Abstract:
When the meeting opened, moderator Frank Hairston made it clear that neither the previous forum at Kent Roosevelt High School on March 15 nor the one held yesterday at the Kent Free Library would bring an end to racism in the community — but it's a start....

Just because one person "hates" everything that moves, and spray paints a wall, it gets everyone thinking its thier neighbor, thier enemies, the guy/gal down the road, everyone is suspect, and that person has accomplished what he/she wanted in the first place, disruption of good standing neighbors and suspicion of everyone.
I don't know, it almost seems like domestic terrorism the way one person can get people to suddenly "come together" and deny the "event" as if it was a "Don't look at me" attitude, when this happens, and everyone is on "edge"...
To me, this had to be done by a young person, simply because when we get "older", (well, except for a few who thrive on "wanting" hate so that they have "issues" and can vent themselves, as they never matured enough to outgrow this silliness), we think of other things, and accept people for what or whom they are. No one, who is old enough, should continue this tirade of black and white, but live thier lives in harmony and get on with the life experiences of making a living, and raising a family.
I had an older black couple living right next door to me, and when they died, it broke my heart! I used to spend hours chatting with my "Bud" and we treated each other as equals because there was no need to "hate"... We both figured that was for the young, because they have so much energy and didn't know what to do with it constructively! My Wife would 'gossip' over the fence with his Wife and talk for hours and some times we would too! (Yea, time sure does fly when your having fun). Now, I wait for the time I get to Heaven to continue our talks, as he was a very interesting friend, and I miss him very much.
I guess we have to get "older" and "wiser" to put this nonsense behind us and live our lives to the fullest...
I wish you well...
