Right on, Andrew. There is no reason that a healthy student can't make it from any one corner of campus to the furthest corner in approximately 15 minutes. I did it as a student and, when I taught, I never accepted a late excuse of "I was waiting for a bus."

Your generation is the average person overweight generation, the generation of rising numbers of Type II diabetes, the generation who expects classes to be cancelled because it's just too cold to be outside or you have to trudge through some snow. Walk now while you can do it with ease, since your lazy, unhealthy habits now will make it difficult for you to walk with ease when the repercussions of too much weight and diabetic neuropathy set in when you become middle aged.

Perhaps the US should reinstate the draft so that you students can have something legitimate to constantly piss and moan about.
