President-elect Obama gives victory speech

 Barack Obama has been elected the first black president of the United States. Senator John McCain conceded the election around 11:20 p.m. McCain, who was joined on stage by his running mate Sarah Palin, said he wished his former Democratic opponent goodwill in his coming term as president.

    Chicagoans excited for Tuesday

    Voters wait up to four hours to vote

    Approximately 350 people showed up to the Board of Elections in Ravenna Saturday morning to vote absentee. But before selecting a candidate, voters waited anywhere from three-and-a-half to four hours before voting.
